Khao Khat Beach
This pleasant beach runs down the west side of Cape Panwa with views of Koh Lon and across to the mass of boats in Chalong Bay.
It is a nice strip of fine sand with shingle along the shore. The seabed is a mixture of sand and stone not suited to bathing. The bay is shallow and no use for snorkeling.
There are some nice resorts, restaurants and houses along the beach.
Cape Panwa is generally a quiet area where you can get away from the crowds. There are no sun loungers or water sport activities on this beach.

Probably the easiest way to the beach is down the track to a restaurant called The Beach Bar. It is a simple beach restaurant serving drinks and decent Thai food at good value prices considering the beach location.
How to Get There
This beach is below Khao Khat Road in Cape Panwa. There are several routes you could take. We will describe just one.
Drive into Cape Panwa on Sakdidet Road. Turn right at the third set of traffic lights (7-Eleven on the corner) and you will come to a three-way intersection with a small monument in the middle. Turn left at this intersection and follow the road until it meets the mouth of a small river and swings left. Take the next right turn and you are on Khao Khat Road. There are some nice salas along this road with views of the beach and bay. The beach is about two kilometers on.
